Where We’ve Delivered:
Cox’s River Road Upgrade
The realignment and upgrade of a 2.4km section of the Great Western Highway including a new interchange at Coxs River Road in Little Hartley, New South Wales.
This includes a new interchange over the new highway, and work will also include realigning parts of the existing highway to create a local service road, and upgrades to the intersections with Browns Gap Road and Baaners Lane. The upgrades will reduce highway traffic through the historic township of Little Hartley.
Western Sydney Nancy Bird Walton Airport Landside Civil
The Western Sydney Airport Landside Civil package involves the construction of roads and their connections to external roads and car parks within the airport land.
This also included connections to external utilities, and landside infrastructure and facilities.
M7-M12 Integration Project
A major Western Sydney road infrastructure upgrade widening the M7 Motorway and constructing a new motorway-to-motorway connection to the future M12 — the gateway to Western Sydney International Airport.
The works also include an expanded Elizabeth Drive connection and local road realignments, reducing congestion and improving freight efficiency across one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions.
Moorebank Avenue Realignment Works
The Moorebank Avenue Arterial Infrastructure project is one of Western Sydney’s major logistics precincts, and the Axia team has played a meaningful role in supporting delivery.
The Moorebank Avenue Realignment Works — a new three kilometre arterial road and two kilometre realignment — required new intersections, drainage and structural works, utility relocations, and a strong focus on safety and traffic efficiency for road users, cyclists and pedestrians.
Melrose Park Urban Renewal Precinct
A 55-hectare transformation of a former industrial site into a mixed-use residential community, Melrose Park is the kind of project that reshapes a suburb for generations.
With capacity for up to 11,000 dwellings, the precinct includes new housing, public open spaces, community facilities and a future town centre — all underpinned by new infrastructure and transport planning.
Hunter Transmission Project
A new 110 km, 500 kV high-voltage transmission line from Bayswater to Olney in the Lower Hunter, creating a backbone loop in NSW’s electricity grid to unlock renewable energy from Central-West Orana and New England Renewable Energy Zones.
The project includes associated switching stations and supporting infrastructure, with construction expected in late 2026 if approved.
The Northern Road Stage 3
This 3.8 km component of the Northern Road involves widening its two undivided lanes to a four-lane divided road, including a kerbside bus lane in each direction.
It generally follows the existing road alignment and includes the reconstruction of the crucial M4 Motorway Interchange with The Northern Road. There are continuous bus lanes in each direction, as well as a new shared pedestrian and cyclist path and footpaths.
Pitt Town Bypass
A Transport for NSW project delivering a circa 1 km road upgrade to route traffic past the Pitt Town village centre — reducing heavy vehicle movements through the town and improving journey efficiency for regional users.
Key features include new roundabouts, bridge crossings over Hortons Creek, and local road realignments, with completion expected in late 2026.
Humelink East
The eastern section of a major electricity transmission upgrade delivering approximately 225–237 km of new dual-circuit 500 kV overhead transmission lines from Bannaby to Wondalga, strengthening NSW’s grid and supporting increased renewable energy capacity.
Delivered by an ACCIONA and Genus joint venture, main construction is underway following enabling works.
Illabo to Stockinbingal
A design and construct contract delivering 39 km of new single-track railway, including 10 bridges and a major realignment of Burley Griffin Way.
Highlights include a 50 m single-span road-over-rail bridge, a crossing loop with maintenance siding, 10 stock underpasses, and extensive drainage systems.
Line Wide (Sydney Metro)
The integration phase of a major rail development — transforming physical tunnels and station boxes into a fully operational automated railway.
The scope includes track slabs, traction power, emergency ventilation systems, and the construction of stabling and maintenance facilities to house and service the fleet.
Mulgoa Road Stage 1
The upgrade along Mulgoa Road between Jeanette Street, Regentville and Blaikie Road, Jamisontown encompasses various critical components aimed at modernising the road infrastructure and fostering overall development.
This includes expanding Mulgoa Road into a six-lane divided thoroughfare, providing three lanes in each direction along with a central median. The critical piece of this project was the relocating of intricate utilities including gas, water, sewer, and electricity and communications to facilitate the road upgrade.
Mandalong Road
A key road widening and improvement project in Morisset, enhancing connectivity between the M1 Pacific Motorway and surrounding communities. The works include intersection upgrades, additional lanes, improved drainage and active transport provisions — improving road safety, reducing congestion, and supporting continued residential and economic growth in the region.
